Angelo Cozzi

Born in Milan in 1934, where he lives and works. A graduate in photography, he first worked as an agency reporter, starting his career with Farabola in 1951. The floods in the Polesine enabled him to file his first report. Until 1959, he worked with another two agencies, Giornafoto and l’Italia, before joining Mondadori at the end of 1959. For Grazia, he created a new genre of photographic services, realised with a team of fashion models and journalists in every corner of the globe.
He has also worked for Epoca: in 1968, he followed the Vietnam war during the Tet offensive, and photographing the battle for Khe Sanh and Saigon. He was in Amman during “black September”, when the troops of King Hussein massacred the Palestinians, in Prague for the funeral of Palach, in Teheran when the Shah was booted out.
