Born in Florence, he discovered his passion for photography at a very young age, taking advantage of the beauty of the Tuscan countryside.
At the age of 19, he moved to Milan and attended the Academy of Art. It was in this period that he developed a strong interest in cinema, having been intrigued by the process of storytelling through light. He made his first short films and spots as a director of photography; at the same time he continues to cultivate his passion for lighting design, in large part thanks to frequent and significant work alongside the great masters of fashion photography.
After gaining experience, especially in the fashion field, and teaching photography for the cinema at SAE Institute of Milan, in the last years Claudio is a freelance photographer. He joined the Mondadori Portfolio team from 2013.
