Born in 1918 in Parma. At the age of 17 he joined the Italian air force and throughout the war was a photographer on various fronts. In 1959, he joined the editorial staff of Epoca, specialising in articles about painters and sculptors, their works and the art world in general. Among his most important reports, undertaken in Italy and abroad, was one for a special issue dedicated to the celebrations in honour of Michelangelo and the major investigation by Epoca into the decay of the Italian artistic heritage.
