Grzegorz Galazka

Photographer

Grzegorz Galazka was born in Poland in 1959. Photography has always been his passion. For over thirty years he has lived and worked in Rome. His activity focuses on the life of the Catholic Church, and as such he has documented the papacies of St. John Paul II, Benedict XVI, and now Francis I. He is the author of many striking portraits of the popes, and one of his photographs was chosen as the official image of the beatification and canonization of John Paul II. He accompanied the popes on numerous travels in Italy and abroad, documenting the most significant moments with shots that combine technical quality and great sensitivity. He collaborates with important Italian, European and international publications and has published more than a hundred photographic volumes in Italy and abroad. He is also the co-founder of the magazine "Inside the Vatican", published in the United States.
