Renzo Chiesa

Renzo Chiesa

Born in Cremona in 1951, Renzo Chiesa has lived in Milan since 1960, the city where he developed his educational and professional path. His passion for images began in the late 1950s with the arrival of the first television set in his family. He started by photographing artists such as Adriano Celentano, Jimi Hendrix and the Rolling Stones from beneath the stage. Throughout his career, he has portrayed numerous musicians, and many have chosen his photographs for their album covers, including Paolo Conte, Lucio Dalla and Enzo Jannacci. A selection of around 200 artist portraits is collected in his book CINQUANTA, which retraces his fifty years of work in the musical world.
